History

Legacy Energy Consulting was started in 2020 by 30 plus year propane industry veteran Chad Pendill. During my years of working closely with propane marketers, and most recently directing the acquisition efforts for an industry major, I saw the tremendous need for independent propane marketers to have a trusted, economical partner on their side. Someone that understands the process, knows what to expect for ups and downs and has the best interests of the business owner, their employee’s, and their customers in mind at all times.

Chad Pendill

President

Chad is originally from Montana, where he started in the propane industry in 1991. He currently lives in Minnesota with his wife Trisha and youngest son Connor. 

Chad’s 30 years of industry experience include a strong technical and operational knowledge of most aspects of the propane business, accomplished in M & A, Sales, Sales Management, National Accounts, Business Development, New Territory Development and Customer Service.


Having successfully directed the acquisition efforts for the 2nd largest propane company in the country, Chad now uses that experience to help business owners determine the current market value for their company, advise where they can add value, and eventually take their company to market to find the best buyer. Chad has existing long-term relationships with the top 20 marketers in the country, as well as the top regional and local companies, which maximizes value when selling.

Tyler lives in Salt Lake City and has a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, as well as a Minor in Nutrition from the University of Utah where he also played hockey for 4 years. Besides growing up in the propane industry alongside his dad, Tyler worked at Ferrellgas in Salt Lake City prior to joining Legacy Energy Consulting.
